All-New 2022 Lexus NX 250 Review on Everyman Driver

We have owned a 99 rx300 for 16 years and racked up 271k miles on top of the 121k when we bought it for a total of 392, 000. As you can tell we keep our vehicles at least 15 years, and we were looking at used nx200t's and nx300's but I really do not want a turbo or be forced to run premium. Here is where the NX250 is perfect for us. The long-term reliability of the naturally aspirated Rav 4 2.5L in the NX 250 is exactly what we want. I drove a new Rav 4, and with the 8 speed auto, it's got plenty of power but it irks me when some journalists knock the lower trims for not having more power. It's an SUV and to some buyers, simple long term reliability is more important. To be honest I didn't even know a naturally aspirated version was available until a few days ago so we are all in on a new NX 250. The bad part is Lexus is still not taking new orders.

I’m considering this instead of the 350h. The price difference doesn’t compensate for the better mpg on the 350h.

Hi..love this car my only problem is the side of the seat. It has a small lip that goes up..It starts to show a fold or line in it from getting in and out of the seat. If your a short person the size is great!

So I keep seeing premium gas vs no premium gas for 350 and higher models. What is the true answer and does anybody got links to support it?

I had a 2020 Toyota Pizza Ship I paid $28, 250 but the payoff was $42, 000 because the sales mangler transfer collateral from the same model I demonstrated different color same year same model. Bought a Cadillac CTS like a 2014 Leased in Brandon serviced in Bradenton

I've driven the turbo version of this in both country and city. This is definitely a more city centric vehicle, all the safety features and cameras make it ideal for parking and navigating busy city streets. When you actually give it some throttle to pass vehicles, the fuel economy is not great

There’s no Luxury package for the NX 250. You only get that when you get the NX 350 AWD

50 grand for a compact SUV... no thanks... after 10 years my old RX330 started having all sorts of expensive failures, so I traded it in on a RAM Rebel, which is WAY more comfortable and quiet to drive believe it or not 🙂

Lexus NX is ugly, small, cheap looking infotainment system, noisy with run flats, and weird door latches. The base engine is brutally slow. It's the same engine as the RAV 4. Upper trims are way overpriced. Reliability will also suffer from without naturally asperated engine.
