I usually farm for traces first, because it takes a lot longer to get the relics with satisfactory stats.

Traces vs relics never made sense to me. You might need months to get a decent relic set, traces are done in like 2 weeks. Can just use some half assed stuff with the right main stats when they're fresh

I've been farming relics for a long time and my s1 Acheron still has 155 crit dmg 😭

Honestly, reasonable takes. IMO speed/HP is one of the better places to focus on since supports in my mind are the keystones in this game and will take you way further than having a cracked out DPS. Sure, the built DPS will likely carry some late game content but only with decent support units.

I just give up min-maxing relics, so I can focus on maxing out traces and building more characters…because this game favors horizontal investment more, especially now that brute-forcing off-element is dead.

how i farm now is first look at upcoming 5 stars, choose who i want, go to leveling calculator on hoyo lab and farm their traces (if they have new trace materials i switch this step with the step after the next one), i do this till they come out and i get them and if i dont get them then i have there traces for their rerun, then i farm their relics for the rest of their banner and after their banner i put on their best relics that i can get. then when the second part of the version arrives i do this again and as a almost f2p who only buys the star rail pass and nothing else it is rewarding and it means that if a better relic set comes out for older characters i will probably farm it at some point for the new 5 star and if i don't get the 5 star i can just wait for their rerun for traces or give these trace materials to a different character.

In my opinion its a great way to rotate different characters and make older ones stronger and experiance new gameplay as a almost f2p and even if you are f2p it still works as i only broke f2p around the one year mark and i did this still with great enjoyment.

so if you want to try this go ahead but weather you do or don't remember one thing, get hoyo lab and use the leveling calculator cus it makes life 100% easier when farming.

Nice to see an updated guide. Things have certainly changed. Altho I'm glad Hunt March uses Musketeer cuz all my god rolls were collecting dust in my inventory and was perfect for her. Woohoo.

I would definitely say farmed the speed relics because it speeds everyone wants speed. Dps can use it as a placeholder until you get their relics and then support and sustainer want speeds

i agree with investing in one team at a time. But i have a bit of a caveat that i get functional relics for my teams to level 9. But wait until i have the highest level caverns to farm since it lowers the chance of getting garbage and should make it easier. to get "good" relics.

I really like farming the quantum set because you can put the 2-Pc wuthering snow on most of your support characters. I mostly build my my supports on 2-Pc/2-Pc. All in all i mostly farm caverns that have relics with 2-Pc like ATK 12%/ HP 12% so that i can put on most units.
