Raspberry Pi Home Server Episode 15: Install Heimdall Dashboard

Показать описание
In this video we'll look at how to install the Heimdall dashboard for your Raspberry Pi Docker Home Server.

Heimdall Application Dashboard is a dashboard for all your web applications. It doesn't need to be limited to applications though, you can add links to anything you like. There are no iframes here, no apps within apps, no abstraction of APIs. if you think something should work a certain way, it probably does.

I took out port 443 as we'll be accessing this locally without SSL.

The hardware I'm using in my Raspberry Pi Home Server:

- Raspberry Pi 4 8GB
- Argon One M.2 Case
- Silicon Power 256GB Boot Drive
- Sabrent 2TB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 Storage Drive
- Sabrent USB 3.2 Tool-Free NVMe Enclosure

AFFILIATE LINKS:

Porkbun .click and .link domains for $0.99!
Limit 3 per customer.
Good through 12-31-2020

Your tutorials are cannon for setting up a rpi server. Thank you for taking the time to make them. Filebrowser and rpi-monitor were the two containers I had the most trouble setting up and I think your audience would benefit from.

Have really enjoyed your series and made good use of it. Thank you. At the end of a day in docker I find myself with stacks, containers and networks, and the role of each is really unclear ... I hope that's an idea for a tutorial to demystify and tidy up.

Hello, i've been following yoru videos and ive set up a vpn and jelly fin, its really neat to have my own media server. My concern is security with opening my ports and my data being breached. Would it be possible to do a video on security and good practices in keeping my rpi server safe? I would like to be able to share my jellyfin and data with my friends and not have to worry about my data being breached that i do not want to be public.

Any chance to do a video on how we can host our own website without wrecking the current containers and stuff? Thanks.

Great content as usual !! I would like to install Heimdall on my Raspberry Pi docker however I am running a reverse proxy (npm). Since my reverse proxy is listing on port 443 and 80 I am bit confused since Heimdall also need to listen on these ports and since both Heimdall and the reverse proxy would be hosted on the same Raspberry Pi, they will need to share the same server IP....Any help with this would be highly appreciated

I personally prefer to use homer. Just like the overall look of it more, even though it is "more difficult" to set up.
I did setup heimdall though, needed it to rip those beautiful standardised .png files and move them into my homer container
