The barracks Bowie was in were demolished over time. Only the chapel and the barracks to the left are the original remaining structures

Went to the Alamo when I was about 18, it’s just so sad, you can still feel all that negative energy, it’s like visiting a cemetery! I couldn’t stand it, I felt cold chills and saw a couple of ghosts in broad daylight! F that, not a fun tourist attraction at all!!

When I was 15-16 I was with my family during a tour guide at the Alamo and it was at night and I saw a man in a top hat with a long black trench coat inside the gate. It was so scary!

I was at the Alamo when I was 10 on a vacation, I remember like yesterday I was in Jim Bowie’s room and I legit was hearing whispers and I definitely saw a 6 ft black shadow on the wall, I think it was Bowie but the freakiest experience I had was hearing footsteps on the roof and I was really confused when I went to tell the tour guide that there was a man in Bowie’s room and I was hearing walking around that I had a run in with either Bowie himself or Crockett

A lot of this narrative is exaggerated. I have never heard of a ghost named "Carlos." His body was not properly disposed of? Well, all the bodies of dead men were burned. There is no Bowie room in the chapel. What people call the Alamo is actually an unfinished church with an open space, although there is a sacristy and other sections.

I've been to the Alamo. Very impressive, but no ghosts were sighted. Unless they were hiding in the basement.

Don't believe in ghosts or spirits or whatever you want to call them. Never been visited by loved ones or spooks just for the fun of it.
In the army used to walk to a small cemetery & lean back against a stone & relax. Never felt scared or even uncomfortable.

The room Bowie died in was tore down after the battle, along with everything else minus The Chapel and Long Barracks...I call bullshit!

Bowie didn’t fight from his bed. He died before the Mexican soldiers entered and Travis blew his own brains out.
