The Republican National Committee filed a bevy of lawsuits forcing state officials to uphold laws that may restrict unlawful voting ahead of the 2024 election.

These lawsuits come in the aftermath of former President Donald Trump‘s false claims that the 2020 election was “stolen.”

In Oregon and Washington (the state I live in) voting is done by mail and drop box only. No one has to worry about how they will get to a polling place, or if they will be able to get to a polling place before it closes. And, as far as I know, there has never been a problem with questionable votes. The ballots are sent by mail to registered voters, the ballots are signed by the voter and when the ballots are counted the signatures are matched to the signature on the voter registration, and if there is any questions the ballots are pulled out of line and inspected by a human being. There are safeguards in place to make sure the ballots are legitimate. The entire nation needs to go to Mail in ballots. It’s the only way to insure that EVERYONE gets to vote without being sabotaged by Republicans.
