Synopsis of Star Wars (courtesy of Wikipedia):

The Star Wars franchise depicts the adventures of characters "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" across multiple fictional eras, in which humans and many species of aliens (often humanoid) co-exist with droids, which may be programmed for personal assistance or battle. Space travel between planets is common due to lightspeed hyperspace technology. The planets range from wealthy, planet-wide cities to deserts scarcely populated by primitive tribes. Virtually any Earth biome, along with many fictional ones, has its counterpart as a Star Wars planet which, in most cases, teem with sentient and non-sentient alien life. The franchise also makes use of other astronomical objects such as asteroid fields and nebulae. Spacecraft range from small starfighters to large capital ships, such as the Star Destroyers, as well as space stations such as the moon-sized Death Stars. Telecommunication includes two-way audio and audiovisual screens, holographic projections, and hyperspace transmission.

The universe of Star Wars is generally similar to the real universe but its laws of physics are less strict allowing for more imaginative stories. One result of that is a mystical power known as the Force which is described in the original film as "an energy field created by all living things ... [that] binds the galaxy together". The field is depicted as a kind of pantheistic god. Through training and meditation, those whom "the Force is strong with" exhibit various superpowers (such as telekinesis, precognition, telepathy, and manipulation of physical energy). It is believed nothing is impossible for the Force. The mentioned powers are wielded by two major knightly orders at conflict with each other: the Jedi, peacekeepers of the Galactic Republic who act on the light side of the Force through non-attachment and arbitration, and the Sith, who use the dark side by manipulating fear and aggression. While Jedi Knights can be numerous, the Dark Lords of the Sith (or 'Darths') are intended to be limited to two: a master and their apprentice.

The franchise is set against a backdrop of galactic conflict involving republics and empires, such as the evil Galactic Empire. The Jedi and Sith prefer the use of a weapon called the lightsaber, a blade of plasma that can cut through virtually any surface and deflect energy bolts. The rest of the population, as well as renegades and soldiers, use plasma-powered blaster firearms. In the outer reaches of the galaxy, crime syndicates such as the Hutt cartel are dominant. Bounty hunters are often employed by both gangsters and governments, while illicit activities include smuggling and slavery.

The combination of science fiction and fantasy elements makes Star Wars a very universal franchise, capable of telling stories of various genres.

I grew up on the original trilogy, and I still think clone wars is one of the best parts of Star Wars

Clone Wars is by far the best thing to happen to star wars outside of the original 6 movies. The animation is still one of my favorite parts of the show outside of the story itself. To this day when I watch season 7 I still find myself hoping that Ahsoka listens to Maul and believes him even though I know in the back of my head that it's not gonna play out like that

Maul alone is enough Reason to watch Clone Wars. So awesome!

I had heard that stuff all growing up so I never watched it, I sat down and watched it all the way through chronologically and it's easily my favorite star wars media. The effort they put in is outstanding

When I say this, this comes from a person who didn’t like the clone wars series, mostly because of animation but there is nothing that will ever take away from the importance and the expansion of the Star Wars universe that will always be accredited to the clone wars series That’s one of those moments where I realized just because I may not like something does it mean it is it good

It was everything but stupid, a great success.

Same with every generation of Star Wars fans, you love the stuff that you first watched as a kid.

I really liked the clone wars and the animation style. I would’ve really liked it if they kept it, but made a second version for adults.

End of the day, Clone Wars isn't my personal cup of tea for various reasons. I think it takes too long to get going, I'm not a fan of the style of animation etc.

But if someone is being objective they have to rate Clone Wars as a 5 star success due to the sheer amount of fans who adore it and the reasons that they do.

It is an unparalleled success and quite adult for being a 'kid's' show. Also the fight with Maul / Ahsoka is just choice.

For anyone who has not seen Clone Wars in its entirety, GET TO WORK. like almost any tv show ever, it took them a little bit to get their footing early on, but good grief, when they got their footing, they GOT it. clone wars to this day has to be one of the best and most important contributions to the Star Wars universe

Clone Wars is not without its issues, mainly continuity on the size of armies and constant "reinforcements" after an army loses 90% of its soldiers. But regardless of that, it's still a lot of fun, the actual character stuff is great!

Clone wars was the shit. Fucking masterpiece, wish it never ended. So many stories that could have been told still.
