Freedom is fragile and I found out first hand when I found myself in a jail cell in Myrtle Beach, SC. Apparently according to the police, I was not wanted living in their neighborhood, this Puerto Rican from the South Bronx, veteran and Manhattan College graduate who spent his life trying to help others in social service and child welfare. My crime? Defending myself and cursing out the people who have been disrespecting me and making my life a living hell since I moved here. My crooked southern lawyer wanted me to write a letter of apology. I didn't. The judge dismissed the case.
