Meryl Streep BLASTS Donald Trump During Golden Globe Speech

Meryl Streep may have lost the Best Actress win for her role as the off-key opera singer Florence Foster Jenkins, but the legend was still a winner as she took home the Cecil B Demille award. Her moving speech brought many to tears, but her words about President-elect Donald Trump is what everyone is talking about.

And for good reason too. See, no one commands attention quite like Meryl Streep in any situation, so when the actress chose to slam Donald Trump, everyone listened.

To be fair, her speech wasn’t solely on the incoming president, who will be inaugurated in 12 days. Meryl first relished in her decades long career. But quickly her tone shifted to distaste for Donald Trump. The actress specifically mentioned a moment when then GOP candidate Donald Trump mocked a physically disabled reporter.

at the beginning of her speech she emphasized what makes Hollywood unique and amazing. her speech was beyond Donald beyond herself, Democrats or Republicans. her speech was more about something very basic something called respect. America needs to stay strong.

She was right with her comments, she let, not does Trump, but the press and we as citizens and her co-actors to take responsibility and stand up for anyone who can not do so for them self. The worst part is Trump who will respesent us as a Nation, gets away with saying and doing the most outlandish things. Merly Streep is right we can not let this ever happen again. She was brilliant, articulate, and spoke from the heart and it was all true.

I am disappointed with Ms Streep's choice of words at an inappropriate venue to voice her opinion. Openly being critical of the PEOTUS. While she obviously feels comfortable in her skin addressing large audiences in a job she has been doing for years. Opposed to someone taking on a totally different, demanding job. I hope there were others in her extensive audience, that felt uncomfortable about her criticism of a person everyone recognised and who deserves some respect and time to settle into his new life for the next four years.
