I still find it funny how the zombies could actually care less about eating daves brains calling a truce between them and dave until zomboss rears his cranium back up again. Its made clear the zombies of the PvZ universe can actually sustain themselves on other stuff besides brains but the taste is so good to them that they seek it out

I think the plot is literally just the plants would training so they can become Masters while the zombies are working on an underground weapon to get rid of the plants and at the end crazy Dave tricks zomboss into shooting himself
