Lincoln’s Nautilus is new for 2024 and the big news is a huge screen. 4 feet wide, it dominates the interior. Does it work or is it just a gimmick? Tom Voelk checks out a loaded AWD Reserve III trim with the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine ($1,500 buys the more powerful hybrid powertrain). The display is impressive but hardly the only thing to like about this 5-seat SUV.

We've owned our 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label Hybrid since March of 2024. When we ordered, back in August 2023, there was very little information from Lincoln and the automotive press. But on paper, the 2024 Nautilus Hybrid surpassed the '23/'24 Lexus RX 350h in so many metrics. Such as horsepower and torque, rear seat leg room, cargo room and was feature rich with tech such as hands free driving that the Lexus, nor any other midsize luxury SUV, offered. We took a real leap of faith and ordered the 2024 Nautilus with the hopes it would knock our socks off when it arrived. It doesn't disappoint! The ride, the power, the fuel economy, the spaciousness, the luxury materials, superb fit and finish! We have nearly 7, 000 miles on our 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label Hybrid and truly couldn't be happier!

A few things to address for the comments critical of this car. If yall are worried about the reliability on one of these, the car is not meant for you.. These are meant to be leased new for about 2 or 3 years before things start to break and then move onto another new car lease. We have one in our garage and from driving experience, the screens arent distracting at all because theyre put very far back on the dashboard, if anything its been a little easier to drive with it so much further back than conventional cars. Id also reccomend going for the hybrid drivetrain option across any of the trims, the regular gas engine model's power just doesnt cut it. If youre worried about the transmission on the hybrid model being a cvt, dont panick its not a cvt 😅, its an eCVT which runs on gears and electric motors which is a comepltely different setuo from the regular belt driven CVT that has a bad rep... As for pricing, people keep assuming the model starts at 80k, it actually starts at the mid 50s and only the top end black label trims start at the 75k price range, part of why that trim is so much higher priced has to do with the top level grade of leather that it uses over the standard or faux on lower trims and also the complimentary services the dealership will do for you simply because you own a black label. As for it being built in China, ive been in other Lincolns built in the US and this one beats all the US made ones in build quality, and its not even close. Actually, having been in many Ford Motor Comany vehicles, ive never seen one with as little squeaks and rattles as this Nautilus. Everything is very solid.

In America we are told Chinese manufacturers would put domestic car manufacturers out of business because they would flood the market with cheap (affordable) vehicles. Then I see this video and can't help but think our government is holding back affordable cars in exchange for overpriced SUVs.

This Lincoln is very impressive. Can't wait for you to review the hybrid. Great job, as usual Tom and Martin! Nuff said.

First off, great review as always. But I have to ask, who is this car for? $80, 000+ for 250 HP and riding on the same C2 platform as the Escape/Bronco Sport/Maverick? When you get into 80K territory, there are a lot of options out there... I couldn't imagine spending that much money on a gussied up Escape.

I recently had a 2024 BMW X5 E50 as a rental (put over 1, 300 miles on it). With the options it had, it was around $85, 000. For the extra money, you get BMW's fantastic B58 engine pumping out 483hp and 516 lb torque. You also get a battery pack that's capable of up to 40 miles of range. The week I drove it, I averaged 27 mpg (once the battery was depleted).

When you could buy a nicely equipped BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Genesis, Porsche, Lexus, etc... for around the same money, you'd have to REALLY LOVE Lincoln to make that purchasing decision. To each their own!

There's something so appealing about Lincoln, even though I'm more of a Cadillac fan. This and the Aviator are among the best looking SUVs out there.

The new Lincolns have been catching my eye recently as I find them quite pleasing to look at. I am happy that the brand has finally found a good design philosophy. They have come a long way from what they were just a few years ago. Thanks for the great review.

There are few things in life worse than a bad neighbor. When it comes to this it seems that you hit a grand slam by having Martin as your neighbor. What a kind and gentle soul he is. The world
can surely use many many more kind people like him. If you have any houses for sale on your block kindly let me know so that I too can enjoy the friendship of this wonderful man

"You can't use your phone because it's too distracting." Here's a 48 inch screen. It'll be fine.

I like the new Nautilus, and I like the full-width screen too. A Lincoln made in China?

Tom, I love your reviews. We need to get you to 1m subscribers. Your content is top notch

For ~ 80k that would get you an x5 or q7 with 6 cylinders. This only makes sense on the lower trims

Man I wish they'd put that beautiful design on a luxury EV chassis. I'd trade in my Mach-E (which I love) in a heartbeat.

🖐 recently got a 2024 Nautilus to replace a Mercedes GLE 350, before that and Audi Q7, before that a Lexus RX. All of those vehicles were pretty good in quality, ride and reliability. To our surprise, the Lincoln Nautilus beats them all hands down in every area. Got the well worth it self charging hybrid version, small extra cost and getting 30+ mpg with regular gas. Wow is the word.

Former grocery worker and current Tetris player and I have to say you could have gotten in one more package of TP in the back there. 😂😎
Other than that great review as always. 👍🏽

Why even offer the turbo? The hybrid is better in every way

I bet Lincoln saved a bundle making this in China. Looks like the sticker price went up, so it's not customers saving money. It's Lincoln/Ford.

So much respect for cutting out the complete “Hey Google” wake phrase 🙈

After sitting in this vehicle I can say that it brings a unique interior to our traditional driving due to its screen, however, it feels more like a oversize sedan due to its ground clearance rather than an suv

I dunno, I'd pick a summit reserve GC over this. Better engine/trans with similar interior comforts for about the same price.
