The Female 'Babe' Pitches

On March 20, 1934 — Mildred “Babe “Didrikson celebrated female athlete and Gold Medal winner in the Olympics pitches the 1st inning for the Philadelphia Athletics in a exhibition game against the Dodgers. She gives up one walk but no hits. Two days later she pitches one inning for the St. Louis Cardinals against the Boston Red Sox. This time she gives up four hits. She will also participate in an exhibition with the Cleveland Indians.
