135 MPH??!

Brandon Sprout not really throwing 135 mph...it was a misread (obviously...no one throws close to 135). But I included what 135 would actually look like, by editing the video.

Sproat is going to be a top 10 pitcher in the majors within the next year. No one has been able to touch him at any level, he doesn't walk guys, 4 swing and miss pitches and k's about 12 per 9. Absolute steal in the second round.

There was a fellow named Bobby Spell from Lake Charles Louisiana. He threw fastpitch softball back in the 1950s and 1960s. When he was in the Army, he threw softballs underhand at 128mph. He is in the Softball Hall of Fame. My Dad said if you were not swinging the bat as Bobby started his windup, you were not going to hit the ball.

That's absolutely amazing. I remember there was a kid that could pitch like you wouldn't believe. He was a grades ahead of me. But his birthday was in a certain month so he could play in our League. Man, his curveball would scare the sheet out of most professionals. Coming straight out your head, then it would break right across the plate. Then, laugh at you as you fall back out of the box. Jay higaura. You had a hell of an arm brother.💪

Nolan Ryan threw a 103 mph pitch once during a game. There have been reports of one professional pitcher throwing a 108 mph pitch during practice. 135 mph never happened.

I remember Nolan Ryan as a young pitcher. The players knew what was coming, but they couldn't hit it. In today's game, I haven't seen a pitcher who can do that.

I remember a documentary about a kid who broke his arm and when they took the cast off his tendons healed extra tight and he could throw this fast.
