How To Create Use Case Diagrams With ChatGPT & DrawIO

In this video, I will show you how to create use case diagrams with ChatGPT and Draw IO. First, you want to head over to ChatGPT and type in your desired topic.

In this example, I will use “Provide me a detailed use case diagram of food beverage companies PLANT UML format.

Wait for ChatGpt to complete the task. Copy the code when it's done.

Now head over the Draw dot IO. You will be prompted to create a new diagram. Click on it. Then, name the new file to whatever you like and save it. The next thing you want to do is to look for the “arrange” tab on the top. Click on it and go to the “insert” option.

Now select advance and choose PLANT UML. A new box will pop up. Delete the content in there and paste the code you got from Chat GPT, then click on insert.

Now, a diagram will show up. In my case, it is a vertical diagram. This may look a bit confusing, so let’s ask Chat GPT to make a horizontal use case diagram for clarity.

Go back and prompt Chat GPT to create a horizontal diagram in PLANT UML format.

Wait for Chat GPT to give the new code.

Copy the new code and head back to Draw IO and repeat the step of opening a new PLANT UML code.

Now the use case diagram looks cleaner and more presentable.
