The M1 MacBook Air in 2024... Worth It?

Looking back, it’s kind of hard to believe that it’s already been 4 years since the release of the M1 MacBook Air. Considering it was a huge success and was the start of a new era for Macs… how well does it hold up in 2024?

Great review. I'm wondering how well this device can multitask. how has your experience been in that regard? do you think it could handle running work stuff (excel, chrome etc) and a light game like minecraft simultaneously?

I am still using my M1 MacBook Air. It works perfectly. I do not make video editing or other "hard job" but it runs Photoshop and all other apps smoothly. I am satisfied with this machine, and I think I will not change until it gets too old to run basic apps (Word, Safari, etc.) fast.

I’m looking at this laptop. I’d like to have one with 16 gig ram but they run $100+ more than the 8 gig ram on eBay. If I’m wanting to make videos on iMovie of my kids volleyball highlights and movies of my puppies, would 8 gig be enough?
