I think you'll get there on YouTube, and I don't think it matters whether it's the house you're building or any other project - it's your style of presentation and honest view of how you do things that people like. Didn't you mention you've done up old motorbikes before? Once the house is done you can sort out the garage part of the lodge and run a series on a bike restoration - things like that are super popular! 🙂

The relaxed approach to the project is great to watch....ive been self building for the last 3 years in the french alps and i know how easy it is to get consumed by the shear scale of a project. I find myself doing alot of head scratching and visualising jobs, or basically just procrastinating if something is getting complex. Alot of channels just show jobs getting done, i like that you talk spend alot of time them 😆 Keep up the great work, you've got one of the best channels out there mate! Good luck in 2024.

I’ve done self building in Africa. Spent 4 years developing and extending a property here - 35 building projects (small and big)… Learned a hell of a lot.

Confidently doing my block lay, electric, solar, plumbing, septic/soakaway.

Would love to get into making my own timber windows and doors… may be something I start in time.

A channel I recommend - I’m sure you have seen it - is Dan from Escape to Rural France.

Dan also opened up about his mental health issues - makes us love you guys even more!
