My „cheap“ summer to-dos on vacation: go on a photo hunt (plants, flowers, architecture, murals, street art, cars, scenery...), buy local vegetables and fruits on a market and try to cook them at my airbnb, sit at a public place and watch people 😎

My little heart broke at "don't enjoy art museums". That is one of the reasons I love traveling to London (going Monday!)...all the free art museums! I hope you had a good time in DC, so much to do and see!

Luckily in Switzerland we have great spas, mineral baths and
clean lakes to swim in. We do
not always need to own a car.
Our transport system serves
the entire country. We can also
rent a car ( latest new models
every year) from Swiss railways
for very reasonable rates. Although Switzerland is expensive
there are many free things or cheap things to do. Good points
in this video Sarah. All the best.

Publicly funded libraries have free adult and kid programs weekly. The bigger the library, the more free programs

Hi Sarah. So valuable to say only go to things you're interested in. Closing curtains during the day helps to keep rooms cooler too. I did a DVD swap with a friend a while back & we both got to see movies we hadn't seen at no expense to us. (I've since donated mine to the library!) TFS.

I think it's a very "American way of life" to put AC in your house ^^ In Europe, we don't use it. When it's hot (like 89°), we use fan, drink water, ...74 doesn't seem to be hot for me, it seems very bearable here ! It's funny to see that our basics are so different between Europe and US !

HI Sarah, it is very hot here. We use your tips to stay cool. And cooling towels are great! We also make our own ice coffee, much cheaper than McDonald's. Hope you and Jake are having a great time!

Great tips Sarah although the air conditioning tips for saving are not easy in AZ this time of year. Especially later this week when but will reach 110! 😲🌞

Great video. One thing I’m curious about is the cost difference between Air bnb and a hotel. Next time you plan a trip and you do your shopping around ahead of time it might be worth while to do a video documenting the experience. I don’t do a lot of travel, but honestly when I do I go with my comfort level. A video like this would be very interesting to me. Hearing someone say you can save $$ doing something, is very different than actually seeing it. - Just a thought.
