I too, wondered why the debris didnt 'fall' to earth, but I know very well this video is not the one to explain that (happened to see the link you shared about Saturn's ring been raining down its planet on the comment section afterwards). This is a 'what if' in purpose to explain the roche limit, not a place to question the source of A B C D E etc, as if they have never seen a what if video.
