If Tolarian Community College follows Nizzahon, then the Professor will be all over this video

Mutavault being a manland that counted as a Merfolk (and thus got the buffs from the lords) was also a big part of a lot of these decks.

I just wanna say that I love your content! Deck history, competitive analysis and the Banned & Restricted List are all super interesting! Also, those videos have to be a ton of work.

So, thanks Nizza! Appreciate ya

I remember playing merfolk mainly because a got a box of fallen empire's. But I used to use playsets of Lord of Atlantis and Sunken City to buff them up. Also ran merfolk assassin, war barge, and boomerange for removal.

Man I love Merfolk so much. Thank you for this awesome documentary of my ever favorite tribe and archetype!

Awesome deck history! The other tribes are jealously saying; “Good Lord, they have a lot of good lords!”

Oh The Professor is going to come at this one with his brightest of red pens

The fact that you have the powerful blue suite of spells is so important for them in eternal formats. Ancestral is obviously always a crazy card, but in merfolk that means 3 extra lords in play, lol.

Great stuff, just one nit-pick. Isn't Benthic Biomancer from Ravnica Allegiance and not Ikoria?

First rare I ever drew (4th Ed. starter deck): Lord of Atlantis. :-)

So much to love about Merfolk. It's a shame Wizards has yet to give them a solid 1 drop.

They're actually pretty strong in Historic, although they might not have any top 8's yet.
Still waiting for them to find a place in Pioneer and Pauper. They're just missing too many key cards in those formats to really make an impact.

Honestly, I miss the videos dropping at midnight. It was cool getting to listen to/watch the videos as I get ready for work. Now that it drops at noon, it gets lost in with the rest of my subs.

Merfolk is one of the most flexible tribal decks.
Also please note that Goblin and Zombie tribal started up around the same time as Merfolk tribal. (All the way back in Alpha/Beta.) Granted there weren't many tournaments.

Would be fun to add an interview or discussion with a famed player for that deck type… …this was primed for a collab with Nikachu the Merfolk Master!

Love the vids as always. Thanks for great content!

Hell Yesss! I've been waiting for you to release some merch. I cannot wait to start sporting a Nizzahon man-thong.

I played modern mono red Burn for years, and only recently switched over to merfolk when I saw most of the cards got cheap.
