Amazing Coin Spill - Uninterrupted Hunt with the XP Deus
Показать описание
What you are going to see is my uninterrupted hunt with the XP Deus. I had no intentions to metal detect at this specific place, as I was just walking by to my primary target (an old path from a 18xx map). But, when I see an area worth detecting, I always follow my intuition (my primary target becomes a backup plan).
I can not understand how all the coins got there (location: Germany). If it was a camp, there should be more than just coins. This area should be loaded with trash. I could understand the lack of trash, if all coins were from Japan... ;)
There were 4 groups of coins. A small Japanese area, small Italian area, Austrian and a British area. The possibility of one international group of people losing coins without leaving other objects is pretty low. The possibility of 4 foreign groups of people losing their coins (and only coins) is ZERO!
The second possibility: A person simply threw his coin collection away. This doesn't make much sense either.
Unless he or she walked through the woods, stopped at one place and decided to get rid of coins from a specific country. After a while this person walked another few meters to repeat the procedure.
Third possibility: A concerned mother of a young, depressed metal detectorist (who didn't found anything for a long time) decided to surprise her son. She bought few coins and buried them few years ago. She encouraged her son to look one more time at a "special place". He got there but walked by, without finding anything.
More info about some of the coins:
Japanese coins:
Austrian coins:
British penny:
The Italian 500 Lire coin from 1961 is made of silver. I didn't knew it as I found it (or - I was not sure).
