Vermithor and his beloved mate Silverwing are my favorites. It's theorized that Vermithor is the son of Vhagar. Vhagar is described as bronze with greenish blue highlights. Vermithor was a bronze dragon. Both their names start with V. George never spoke about the dragons' family tree so don't know for sure.

The thing is dreamfyre is older than vermithor by couple of years. But captivity greatly hinders the growth of a dragon. While dreamfyre held in dragonpit Vermithor was free in his lair on dragonstone.

I'm wondering if people can help me who know more about it, does the fact that Laenor runs away rather than die break lore? I only say this because much is made of dragons and their rider having a bond, so I don't see how someone else can mount seasmoke when he probably knows Laenor isn't actually dead, I wouldn't have thought you can steal a dragon off of someone like that

The green has all the big dragon...including this Vermithor when the rider later on turn their back on the black.

I'm sorry but The Dragon Queen had 3 dragons but only Drogon had a rider. If Viserion and Rhaegal had proper riders they might have survived.
