You suffered through microplastics aromatherapy to bring us this, love the energy

Our guild had dryer lint in our "fiber challenge" one year. The neatest project was when it was used in needle felting. It was like velvet.

It’s not really gross to me, dryer lint comes from clothes that just came out of the washing machine, it’s literally just been cleaned

Someone in my Buy Nothing group asks for dryer lint for her collage artwork. I love it!

Awesome project! If it makes you feel any better, the lint is as clean as your clothes when they come out of the dryer, even if it is waste.

Dryer lint is used in pyrotechnic effects. It’s highly flammable.

This would be soooo perfect for an episode of Nichet Crochet's 'Will It Rat' series!

The dog hair is a binding factor sent me

It's not gross, it's as clean as your clothes. Pet hair is no worse than wool. I just would be wary of the fine dust going up your nose.

As a person who is not a spinner, I understood only about half of these words. So many things to know! What a wonderful world! Cheers!

I have no idea why I got this video, but now I know something about spinning yarn. Thank you for this random nugget of education.

From a zero-waste, eco-friendly perspective this was a really important experiment to do! Thanks.

I have spun and plied dryer lint on my Lendrum. I've also spun and plied the fiber from bottles of vitamins and other tablets. I then used those weird yarns to tie up plants in my garden.

As far as I know, showing flame doesn't get you in trouble (NileRed/NileBlue is constantly exploding things) but I could definitely be wrong 😂 thank you for making this video and satisfying our curiosities!

You tried it so that we don't have to! I did get a good chuckle out of it.

OMG I’m totally here for this type of chaos goblin fibre shenanigans! 🤩

I’ve considered doing this but the sheer amount of coarse animal hair in my dryer lint would make it into something utterly unpleasant to blend with other fibres. And it would fall apart at the slightest touch: my dogs have short, stiff coats.

I’ve spun Golden Retriever floof, cat floof, various types of sheep fleece, alpaca… but no dryer lint. Now I have a better idea of what it would become. Thank you!

I think it'll depend heavily on what your clothes are made of, to make better yarn. Say if someone has a lot of wool or cotton, but then again i have no idea if wool goes in a dryer (we don't have one at home).
And I do agree, some things are just waste and there are other ways we can upcycle and recycle. I'm sure dryer lint would made good flint or fire starter, or stuffing/filling in other projects.
It was a fun video, thank you for putting this together ❤
