💀 Car Crash – Honda Civic FA on RAINY Mountain Road / Touge Canyon Run (60fps, HD)

preview_player
Показать описание
A spirited canyon run ends up with the FA Honda Civic crashed in the hillside - it's the risk of driving on a mountain pass at speeds. The rainy conditions didn’t help either. This can happen anywhere - Mexico, USA, Ebisu, Nurburgring, wherever.

Thank you for watching! I'm interested in knowing about how you think this crash happened - even if it seems really obvious. Let me know in the comments 👍

Every biker know what happends there. The road marks are slippery as hell under rain. Here it caused oversteer, and it was corrected by steering only. So the car sweeps to the outside. Maybe more acceleration could have helped... Anyway, nice save in the end =)

“Well. Alright. Imma go check for suspension damage now”

I can hear that pain and it sucks

Recognize the conditions of the road, take into consideration this is a Hybird not a track monster. This could have ended bad.

Dangerous combo : rain + downhill + tilted steep curve + painted lanes. + braking/throttle lift.

U recovered it great!

Come on man rain really you knew better glad no one was hurt

Should’ve slowed down before turning, and throttle through

Don’t brake in the middle of a turn. It will take the weight off the back end as seen in this video.

Damn at least you corrected it as well as you could, didn't over correct and send it into the field, probably would've rolled then. It being wet + going over painted lines just unsettled it. Any damage? Didn't look too bad tbh.

Yep! My honda does the same. Had only a rear sway bar installed and going into a wet curve like that off throttle to loose some speed. The car oversteered nearly exactly how he did. Great reflexes man!

Well.
No big deal. I’ll check the suspension.

Haha, i like this calmness !

Came into the corner hard and tapped the brakes causing the weight to come off the rear tires causing it to spin. Nothing you could of really done except slowed down a little for that corner. Your an awesome driver, that happens to the best of us. Rain is Sketchy AF I would have died for sure in my p71

Damn this was pretty dangerous! I'm glad to hear that there was no damage, only a bit of adrenaline overdose on you haha👏
The corner was difficult in this enviroment: crossing the line too early -> you have to pay attention to the g-force pushin you back to the outside of the corner. Crossing the line to late -> front tires start to loose grip. But you reacted quickly so nothing really bad happened!

Don't even need to call that a crash, just pass it off as using the full width of the road

Wonderful recovery. Good work man. Didnt over correct, perfect ammount of steering to keep on the verge of understeer. Dont listen to the haters, your skill is obviously there.

1. Car is not built for this, save up and get a type R
2. I have a STI and a FN2R, I wouldn’t even dare to touge in rainy days with my Michelin tyres let alone a civilian car with regular setup and suspension
3. Even if u want to do some touge, make sure you check yr tyre thread or at least get some good tyres.
4. Brake early even before the curves or corners. I see you break either too late or at the corners. What I do is when I see a corner coming, I’ll always break first and accelerate at the corner.
Anyways, I’m glad that yr fine man! But all I can say is, manual on touge is more fun 😜 cuz u can just slow down by shifting the gears and accelerate at 3-4K rpm. Please be careful next time!!

That's why I don't run in the rain...good stuff tho man.

To try and answer why it happened, seems like limit of grip cornering plus what seems to be a downhill decreasing radius corner, made the rear end light and of course the road conditions meant oversteer (though the front tires may have been sliding a little too, not terminally though) and once the back end stepped out that car was always going to understeer wide there. Trailbraking could've also played a part in it but it seemed to me like he was off throttle, hard to tell.
