Its kinda cruel to ask the citizens questions that you know full well can get them sent to a camp or killed.

I’m surprised he’s allowed to go in there and asked those questions without repercussions.

He asks questions that could get people in serious danger if they didnt carefully monitor their response

The quickness with which that woman backtracked when she heard herself almost saying something positive about America. You shouldn't have put their lives at risk like that man

Funny how as soon as they escape they have nothing good to say about the dear leader they've been raised to love. It's all an act, they are terrified

This is the sort of thing that is really important. Seeing the people that live in countries, rather than just looking at their government.

No matter what you're going through in your life, it could always be worse. You could be living in North Korea.

No one thinks it’s weird that 1) this man was allowed in given his affiliations and 2) he could ask the questions that he did?

Something is weird here…

I have seen a bunch of Documentations about North Korea and one thing that always seems to happen that needs to stop is:
The interviewer always asks the citizens those questions that will get them into trouble. You can see it on their faces on just how uncomfortable it is for them, cause they know, if they don't repeat what they were told, they will get into **HUGE** troubles that we might not be able to imagine.

Please stop asking the citizens those questions. Maybe leave it at a single one and move on. The citizens are not at fault for this. But they will pay the price if they give the 'wrong' answer, which is what you want to hear, with them saying something positive about 'their enemy'. They cannot answer those questions freely but we keep pressing the issue with every single interview. I think that is wrong.

I’m honestly amazed you were allowed to ask them if they wanted to shoot you. That is wild!

Why do journalists repeatedly ask people questions on camera that has severe risks if answered incorrectly. It is seriously negligent, I see it so often.

I don't believe NK will ever start a major war in the simple fact sustaining their troops in food alone over an extended period of time is unattainable. That said, I hope we never see my hypothesis played out.

I know that lady who said she wanted to visit knew that she would have been “dealt with “ which is why she had to add the latter part of her statement to prevent any potential repercussions.

That Lady at the countryside actually gave him a smart “coded” answer about wanting to visit the US. I feel like these people actually have an idea of the Western world thru watching videos/movies that are smuggled from China so they’re not totally naive about us but of course she has to say what she said cause it’s on video and you really have to unscrambled the message.
