Okay, so first time listening to this theme fully and this is how it made me feel:

A sorrowful journey at first. Soft piano keys that echo, with a curious feeling to it. As if you're journeying alone, and building up to something. The song builds and builds and gets heavier, until more violins kick in, as if you have now met something big.

Suddenly, a mood change. Now light and free, as if running with a friend through a field. The song is pure joy and adventure. The joy becomes a massive adventurous theme. As if now with your friend, the world is your oyster.

But. It becomes somber. Its as if, your friend has to go... You've spent that time alone, you've spent that time journeying with them, and now your friend says goodbye. It doesn't sound to sad though, as a hopeful melody was still playing. You had your good times with them

I bought the game after the Switch Indie reveal showcase and what a beautiful experience it is. I’ve sent two companions through the Everdoor as of right now and each one is more bittersweet than the last. This OST really captures the charming yet solemn atmosphere of the game. Well done, composer!
