Is the BMW M4 GTS Worth Double the Price of a BMW M4?

The BMW M4 GTS just came out, and it's already highly controversial -- especially since it costs twice as much as a regular BMW M4. I borrowed this one to find out if it's worth it.

I saw someone in my town driving an M4 GTS on the road. Couldn't believe I actually saw one in person, let alone one that is owned by a neighbor. It's pretty sick in person!

this is pretty much just a collector's item for bmw enthusiasts

Most people don't get it (despite it being such a simple fact). This is not a car you get instead of a regular M4 just because you have 65k $ more in your pockets. This is for BMW enthusiasts that have access to race tracks and-or like to collect such SE cars. There's a reason why it was limited to 700 cars.

The M4 GTS isn't just double the price cause of the extra mods, its expensive cause its a rare limited edition collector's car. Everyone can Mod their M3/M4 to make it as fast for way cheaper. But if that's all you care about then you're missing the point of why automakers make these cars.

So many people complaining about a car that they aren't even the target demographic for. It's made for hardcore BMW-enthusiasts and collectors, not for some sweaty keyboard warrior comparing it to a Camaro lol

I understand wanting a stripped down version of a luxury performance car to get more performance out of it. What I don't understand is taking things OUT of a car and then doubling the price.

The wheels look 100 times better on the grey body version/paint job. In fact I think the grey paint look heaps better than this white version. The grey and orange work really well together imo

You can easily mod your M4 to be JUST as fast and good as the M4GTS for less than 70K.

This is clearly wasting money for the sake of wasting money. But hey if you got it, get it .

No disrespect to BMW in anyway shape or form, got one. They're built like tanks but $140k for this? There is no way. There are much BETTER options BETTER looking options as well as BETTER performance options. I'll pass.
