I heard "Bohemian Rhapsody" in my car last week and thought to myself, "I wonder if Charles has ever done a bass version of this song?". I submit this to the growing amount of evidence I exist in a simulation. Some evidence I may not exist in a simulation is that I never thought it could sound this good! Well done, bud!

The melting of the verse into the solo...was especially mindblowing.

Harmonics, electronic bow, expert tapping, great musical interpretation, and even a tuning key pitch bend at the end; such a remarkable concatenation of techniques that you've honed over the years that this feels like this was the end game all along.

That’s a legendary piece with an amazing interpretation! Your fretless tapping with harmonics and fingerstyle is magical ✨ Bravo 🙌🏽

the sound of a fretless will never get old to me and the amount of skill to play one will never cease to be impressive either

As a violinist, I am astounded by his precision on the chords (fretless) and the forced harmonics. And doing the tapping at the same time? He’s playing at least 3 instruments in the same space.

Mate, I just got your tapping book in the mail and OMG you signed it!? and wrote thanks Ed!? As a nurse in Aus who had pretty much put my music aspirations to bed you have inspired me to try and become the best bass player I can again, but this time actually practicing and putting the effort in. Thanks so much and keep it up please!

On the original, I always love the last part of this song from 1:58, it brings up emotions that if I were to try to put into words, I would use such ones like realization, acceptance, even resignation. I feel like the fretless bass and your playing kinda accentuates that even more.
