Correction, elementary matrix is an identity matrix with one entry changed. This means one of the diagonal ones could be changed to another number too. Not necessarily just the zeros.

Hi Jeffrey, thank you for grate videos. Trying to folow every step but I have an issue with obtaining M3, could you possibly elaborate a bit more on how you obtain the 0 0 1 on the third row of the M3 by showing in more details of the rows used to multiply by the -1 factor and derive row 3 of M3. I also would like to ask you of any good matrices algebra books to cover the topics in great details for projects possibly containing thousands or few hundred thousands of equations, I see how you obtain the third row of M2 but not M3 as I get 3rd row of M2 again and not M3, thanks a lot.
