*2022 Update* - It appears some things have changed since this review and there are shenanigans at play with this software in regards to paying for it. At this point in time based on feedback from a number of people, I don't recommend using it.

*Please remember that recovering files is not guaranteed, and results will vary. Trying to recover lost files is always a hit and miss process. You may get lucky, you may strike out. This applies to most recovery software out there.

Beware! Here is my experience with Wondershare. So I had some corrupted video files that two different recovery companies tried to recover to no avail. As a last ditch effort I decided to give Wondershare a shot. They said that they had a 7 day free trial, so I thought it’s worth a try. I downloaded the software and ran a known video file that would not open at all using Quick Time or Premiere Pro. The software asked me to use the advanced tools which involved adding a good video file with the same video settings. After running the file through the software said that it had a successful recovery. Great! this could be the answer I thought. Well it wouldn’t let me view the video file without entering my Visa. So I thought that we had a 7 day free trial so I did. When I opened the file I was not recovered successfully. It was pixelated, glitchy and unusable. So I contacted support and asked for my money back. They were slow to respond and instead of issuing a credit made it difficult to get my $$. Long story short. This program did not work for me. Many emails back and forth. Just refund my money for crying out loud. Matt

Thank you for this! Ur a life saver. I just finished editing the vid then it crashed so it created a back-up file so I deleted the file and opened filmora and see the recent files and but when I deleted it it also deleted the bak-up file and raged quit so I tested my theory and it is possible. I will recommend this vid and app. Thank you!

Thank you for your useful tutoriaI have easeus data recovery business edition and after discovering all my lost files next step was recovering but stop at 1% after 5 hours still the same 1%, do you know why?

I bought a WD External HDD 3 years ago and I stored all of my personal memories and data on it. IDK how the HDD got corrupt. A month ago when I plugged my HDD into my PC, it connected and showed normal on 'This PC' but the read speed was too low. Like if I try to open a photo it takes 5 to 10 minutes approx to open. And when I try to transfer some files to another drive it showed a speed of around 700kbps, not more than this. But the write speed was normal. Now when I plug my HDD into my laptop it is appearing, but it is showing it's loading in 'This PC'. I waited for the loading for around 3 hours but the loading is not complete. So I end up unable to access my HDD. I tried to access my HDD by plugging in many other PCs, but it shows corrupted on some PC or showing the same problem as my PC is showing. I have nearly 100k photos and 10k+ videos. I am thinking to format my HDD and recover the data by Wondershare Recoverit paid one. Can I get my data 100% back?

whst would make a laptop crash after restoring files, and is there a way to go about restoring files without the lap top crashing even after you flushed out the lap top

Worked amazingly for me. I had to restore my PC and accidentally deleted some python files I worked on for 2 weeks. I downloaded WonderShare Recoverit and I was skeptical first because they don't have good reviews and everyone is bashing them, calling them a scam, etc... But I noticed that all the reviews were outdated and also the people recovering mostly talked about media files like videos and such. So, I gave them a shot, paid like $80, scanned my PC, found all my files from my old Windows installation, recovered in 10 minutes. So personally for me, amazing experience. But I did not have any media to recover, just a whole bunch of Python files. I am probably going to buy the software permanently!

I've had this same issue with all recovery software I've tried.. I reformatted a drive accidentally.. and after recovery could show all thumbnails and file names.. but couldn't recover any files completely.. the best it could do is create a super small file (assuming based on a thumbnail that's stored on the drive) odd though as I never added any other files to the harddrive.. so I would say all Recovery software is a bit of a miss (and even a bit shady as they'll show the thumbnails before buying.. which makes you feel very positive about buying it) if you did anything other than just delete a file... you're probably not getting it back.

I had a terrible experience with this program. Incredibly confusing. Registration code they gave did not work, and was over 20 characters long. Trying to get refund..It is very confusing... I cant believe I threw away 60 bucks for nothing. All I wanted was to recover very important files, Id gladly pay 60 dollars for one specific file I spent weeks working on. And it seems impossible to do

It was unable to restore files that I had deleted from my bin (i.e. files that were lost due to emptying my bin).
