The woodenly literal translation makes it so helpful in understanding the true meanings. That and with the patristics makes it worth its weight in gold.

One thing I like about this translation is the way they translate the Greek words for “energy” (“energize” etc) using the English word “energy”… (as opposed to “operations” etc) which shows more clearly Orthodox understanding of the Divine Energies that St Gregory Palamas wrote about
