Pull ups brought my physique to another level. When I do those wider palms forward pull ups, I bring my elbows down tucked into my sides and concentrate on activating those Lats.

Of course you have less strength, that's the whole point. 😂 It's a more difficult variation of the pull up, because you have worse leverages. It can be tougher on the shoulders, it's true, but that's also true for a lot of good exercises, chin ups are harder on the wrists than pull ups, pull ups are harder on the wrists than neutral grip pull ups. You just have to be smart with how you do them and how often.

Totally agree, from experience, too wide put your shoulders at risk, it's a shorter distance to the bar, closer is much farther, making it harder but you stronger, as long as your clavicle touch the bar.

Stick to weights mate, nothing wrong with wide grip pulls if done correctly, like any exercise if done wrong it'll fuck you up

If you do super wide grip pull ups, stay at bw unless super light, keep the form pristine and don’t do it for too long either.

wide grip pull ups build a lot of mid traps, and overall upper back compared to lats.

They’re not good or bad, just take it easy and see how it goes.
