After the electricians have been in you will be left with lots of chases. its best to skim the whole wall but if you dont want to go to that extent then this is how you patch them up.

As a spark who also skims this is a great video as these tips are hard to know when you teach yourself. ALSO, the attention to detail about not wiping cable markings off just shows why this channel is on another level. Hats off big dog

Top stuff kirk. Respect for the decorators that will follow is class its pride in your work. As a plasterer myself its something that is totally lacking these days from sparks and plumbing that leave pushfit joints and cable clips proud of the existing wall for us to sort out. Every trade should remember and respect the fact that some other tradesmen is following you.

Nice one Kirk. I’m an elechicken and big respect to you for cleaning the box out, especially when the that spark didn’t have the decency to tuck the cables in. It’s all about helping the other trades 🤜

I've seen many videos on this subject and this is beyond doubt the most informative and professional so far.
It shows us amateurs an in depth tutorial and no jargon just plain English/scouse.
The only down side is he's not a Manc ! But 😂😂

Quick message to thank you for your videos. I jumped in and plastered 2 chasers, 3 sockets and underneath my new window sills tonight. All blended in to the existing walls, and I'm really happy with the results. Can't wait to mist coat it, take care of a few imperfections and see the final results.

Ended up about 2ft wide by the time I was happy with the blending but hey-ho all a learning process.

Next time I'll just do the whole wall lol

Thanks again mate

I liked that mixing the small batch with the scratcher.

As as very poor DIY plasterer, I’ve learned so much from watching you Kirk! As laughable as it is, I’ve just created a fake brick wall in my kitchen using Hardwall…I followed your advice on starting at the top right and bottom left for corners, and how to do edges by taking plaster from the middle to start the edges. Invaluable advice from someone who takes pride in their work. No bullshit, just proper skill.

Not a plasterer, not even in the building trade but find your videos excellent. Great instructor. 👍🏼💪

Look at that! I didn’t know a Plasterer could not fill my boxes with plaster?
I always coil my cables within the box, but I guess that’s not really that helpful after watching this.
…I have genuinely had boxes completely filled over, only a couple of times.
Love this Chanel, it’s valuable to not only pick up tips, but to also see things from a different tradesman’s perspective.

Fantastically instructive video. You focus on the job in hand, and leave your ego out of it. Great stuff.
