Deface, our Lord, the features of their wealth, and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the grievous penalty."

One of the ideals America was founded on was opposition to tyranny; that the oppressed have every right to fight their oppressors but hopefully don't show that same callous disregard for human dignity and the sanctity of life their oppressors show. Oppression is injustice; and any who suffer injustice are suffering under tyranny. But the fight against tyranny requires both vigilance and sacrifice; and even if the fight can't be won you still have to fight it knowing that you will lose. What is better for a man? A long life on your knees as a slave or a short life on your feet as a free man.
