DualSense Adaptive trigger broken?

Posted another video for comparison between the two triggers.

Stick drift wasn't the only issue I faced, my R2 trigger makes a weird sound whenever pressed while playing any game that features adaptive trigger e.g Control, Astro's Playroom.

L2 trigger in comparison is quiet. It started making sound over time, it was quiet at launch.

It sounds like grinding gears. There's no lube applied on plastic gears inside the trigger mechanism, and plastic on plastic without lube wears out. I applied some machine lubricant oil but still it sounds loud af.

Mine just all of a sudden on PC starting doing that in cyberpunk 2077, checked with a brand new controller and had the same issue.

Mine did this too, but only in Control. I think the adaptive triggers poorly programed or something.

When i first got it i realised i was had the mic on bc i thought the light off meant it was off but i was wrong so because the mic was on the triggers were weaker

I use mine on pc and it did the same thing until it stopped all together. I'm so frustrated, I don't even know if I want my money back. the audio haptic and haptic is great! I just want a replacement..

Do adaptive triggers work on pc games with different vibrations according to the different guns itself i bought controller but adaptive triggers don't work according to gun

So man, i saw that you posted this 4 years ago. What was your conclusion after all these years? I just bought my PS5 this week, and right out of the box both triggers sounds different, the left is clearly noisier than the right one. To be honest, I don’t know if it is a “real issue” or something that is regular. Don’t want to send back to the store to get a new one and have the chance to get a simillar or worst issue.

it is totally a mechanical thing and prone to breakage
