WG really overbuffed the DPM. Like it has the same DPM as the Patriot, a tier 8 heavy premium tank. And the gold rounds have just 16 less pen than those of the Patriot. So if you shoot full gold with the M6, you basically have a tier 8 heavy tank gun at tier 6. It is outrageous.

I had the M4A2E4 from the BETA and sold it because it was so rubbish and needed the garage space, didn't realize it was a collectors piece. Fast forward a few years and WG gave the chance to buy back any premium tank you had previously sold and I got it back... It's still rubbish but now garage spaces are much easier to come by I will keep it.

Would love to see QB do a video on it.

I think people do worry too much about stats padding, in both directions. Obviously driving a tank you might not even like just to increase a number in some excel sheet is a stupid idea. However, it's also stupid to _not_ drive a tank you _do_ like just because someone would call you stats padder afterwards. Just chill, help your team, improve your game, have fun and don't worry about stats.

I haven't played for a couple years, but the M8 was one of my favs. That 90mm gun is nasty at tier 6.

The M6 was nerfed a long time ago when we used them in our tier VI SH lineup, it was just restored to its former glory with the exception of buffing the turret armor this last round. It's always been a beast for tier VI. Good depression, great ROF with good aimtime w/o having to waste a lot for Vstab or other aiming modules

I prefer T150 at tier 6. There are many great techtree tanks, but people just want to make more credits. For example 45tp at tier 7 is absolute beast of a tank yet people dont play it or do that well in it.

I 3 marked my M6 like over a year ago. But i chose the wrong time to 3 mark it because they were adding the new heavy American line like the M-v-y and so on. So everyone was playing the M6 to save up xp for the new line coming out. But it still only took me about 75 or 80 games to 3 mark it. Beast of a tank.

Shooting M6 and T1 in the turret with 144 pen after coming back to the game after 8 years was rough before I looked up the armor layout and realised they got buffed lol.

since they buffed the T1 and M6, it makes me feel dirty whenever i play the T1 these days, i had three marked it back in the day when MOE's were first added, it was always one of my favorites to play, now i barely touch it since all the buffs

chked the 107 gun on both KV2 and 150, KV2 has better dpm b/c 2 loaders. recently repurchased the M6 and having some fun playing it

i get better DPG in the M6 then in some of my T8 mediums, the combination of mobility, firepower and hitpoints together with decent turret armor and gundepression makes this vehicle flat OP, some other T6 heavies like the ARL 44 or the Ju Nu just got nothing to offer in comparison

I was a Closed Beta tester, starting on the 2nd day of the first session of Closed Beta in the summer of 2009. The M4A2E4 Sherman was only given to those with 1000 or more battles in all of Closed Beta testing, not 500. I still have mine, and will never sell it. The US tech tree was 3rd tree added, after the Russian and German trees, and if I remember correctly it was added shortly after the second session of Closed Beta opened, and yes, the M6 was the tier 6 heavy, and it led to a horrible T29 that had 2 massive weak spots on the turret. edit... The M4A2E4 has always had an under performing gun, with much worse Pen, but it does have higher DPM than a fully upgraded M4A1. it has slightly better armor overall, but worse mobility. The gun is the same gun on the tier 4 T6 and starting gun on the M4A1, the 75mm Gun M3.

the American tree was introduced to both EU and RU clusters during the closed beta phase. However, the RU cluster received it a few weeks or so earlier. I remember creating a RU account just to have a go at the US tanks, as this game was really exciting to me back then. The original tree from T4 was M3 Lee, T1, M6, T29, T32, T34 and the T30 at t10. The medium tree initially ended at the ...T23 at t8?
