Absolutely SchoScho! The voice inside your heart is your true self, the thing that's at the core of your being.

STOP- Stop, Take a step back, Observe what is happening, Proceed mindfully. I learnt this acronym in therapy many years ago and I use it whenever my mind gets flustered and I feel that there is no time.

My first 10 day silent retreat, I remember how confronted I was and then around day 6 something just clicked. I found space and balance, the hours of meditation were meaningful and insightful, rather than painful and long. After the retreat, this was a common experience for most other at around the day 6 mark. Going back to talking and life after that was a shock to the system, but oh how quickly we slip into old ways. Retreats like this, away from all of that stimulus, are vital for connecting with the self.

Lost my dad to heart attack, this brought back memories and the thoughts I had then, to fulfil my life more.

“Sometimes this little distance of 30-20cms from our mind to our heart is the longest distance”. So powerful.

Sometimes all we need is a little perspective, but we forget that in order to gain that you need to get a little distance between yourself and the thing you're viewing.

The way he describes his life, there is no wonder he had heart issues! There is something in our world that says ‘unless you are doing, you are nothing’. We think it is normal to live in a constant state of stress and, sadly, that is how we need to behave to get ahead. You can be in perfect health on the surface, but high stress does damage.

I'm glad that moment was able to change his life for the better, and that he could use the platform he already had to encourage mindfulness and positivity

Wow it's so hard to imagine such a life-changing event. I'm glad this man could use it to create some positive changes in his life.

I am able to find a middle ground through grounding and flow. I prioritise grounding (mindfulness, yoga) every single day and I commit to the work I do when I do it by putting my phone and other distractions away.

Great point "11 wise words." I hear it and I do it all the time. They should behave better, they are this or that. I am make me accountable to my own behaviour. Anything else is a judgement or some sort of command.

It's such an eerie feeling, when you're walking around and going through the motions but not really connecting to anything. Glad you were able to overcome that Schoscho!

I think in the world of performance, ‘Life Happens’ is a bit of an understatement! You have to think on your toes at all times because the momentum means things are constantly shifting and changing.
