The Brooklyn Center community gathered together Saturday to celebrate Daunte Wright's legacy nearly a year after he was fatally shot by a former police officer during a traffic stop.

These people who have this celebration, are the same type of people that whenever Daunte's past is brought up, their response is "well, we've all made mistakes, nobody is perfect". In their minds, if they never talk about his past, they can act like nothing happened. They act like Daunte was killed bcuz he wouldn't give up his seat on a bus to a white man. Did the mom bring up that she called 911 on him because she was afraid of him? Just pathetic.

If Daunte Wright was a problem child in the same country as me who I didn't know 🤷he was my kid.
