I currently own a 2016 KIA Sportage and am having the engine replaced. Just wow. Not financially able to buy a new(er) car at this time. So, the replacement is our "best" route. It started with a burning oil smell, to this. :(

My 2015 veloster is only about 70k miles and I always get an oil change 3k to 4k miles.. Just last week as I was driving uphill I heard a knock while driving 45 mph and boom. Had to tow it to my hyundai dealership and jist this morning I got a call and jave told me that they will be replacing the engine. That 10 uear powertrain warranty is super amazing. Thanks Hyundai

I SHOWED NO PROOF OF OIL CHANGES ON MY 2016 sonata it broke down on me on the way home 2 weeks ago I didn't know what the prob was I had a person replace the parts to the codes the car was bringing up and even after that the car would not start comes to find out that it had a hole in the engine ( I called the Hyundai dealership and gave them my vin number ) they said there was an extended warranty on the engine and that it could be replaced for free I bought the car from a dealership outside of Hyundai I believe I'm the 2nd owner I have 1, 333k miles on it ( I HAD IT OVER A YEAR ) I GOT THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP YESTERDAY AND THE HYUNDAI CALLED ME TODAY AND SAID I WAS APPROVED FOR A NEW ENGINE AND THAT THEY ORDERD THE ENINGE TODAY AND IT TAKES ABOUT 3 TO 5 DAYS TO COME IN AND I WILL HAVE MY CAR BACK NEXT WEEK! THANK GOD

I just picked up my car . I didnt need any receipts of oil changes and no questions asked . I was shocked how easy it was to get the a replacement

I currently have a Kia Niro that is in the shop and currently being repaired due to the engine going out. Luckily, I purchased an extended warranty for the life of the vehicle which covers the entire cost of the repairs. Now, the dealership is trying to charge me for a $2000 core fee that is not covered under the warranty.

It’s a new engine or a used/ refurbished one, also is this a modified engine or same model because they are all flawed by design and replacement with same type will not resolve issue

Can confirm. 2013 Santa Fe Sport. Driving West on 64, cruising and the check engine light started flashing and the engine slowly stopped. Got a brand new engine.

I had my Hyundai sante fe 2017 engine replaced under the warranty and 20k miles after doing an oil change at the dealership i had to tow my vehicle because there was oil in my radiator and coolant over flow bottle. There was no oil in the engine. Still waiting to hear whats the verdict from Hyundai Dealership. Next vehicle either toyota or honda.

Stranded sounded like motor was going to seize. Towed to Hyundai. 2014 Sonata failed crankshift test. 06/20/24 New engine on the way. No questions, no extended warranty, no receipts. Free loaner until we get our car back . Must have Hyundai dealership/service diagnose and summit claim.

I don't blame hardworking folks who dare NOT touch any Kia or Hyundai vehicle. With the massive bill they shouldered from the engine failure fiasco plus other major safety recalls, guess who will foot the bill eventually ?
