This is why civics classes need to be emphasized and required for every level of the education system. A lot of people, of all ages, have either a little bit, or no real fundamental understanding, of how our government actually functions. Hence, the frustration, bewilderment and or overall apathy. Thank you Rep. Crockett for being willing to teach.

Okay...I am three quarters of the way through this and I cannot thank you both enough for taking the time to unpack, dissect and EXPLAIN all of this. It is made difficult so that we are apathetic. Amanda I feel like you in that it is not so much that we are apathetic as just don't understand. The way Jasmine Crockett uses analogies to explain and make it so simple is like watching a favorite teacher teach what may or may not be a genuinely complex subject in a way that we can ALL understand. I have to resume this most amazing video interview but could not WAIT to write this as well as thank you both for this incredible civics lesson!!
