Pound for Pound nothing touches a feline, especially a Tom defending his territory and his ladies lol. Raccoons are fierce and can put the smack down themselves as I have heard tales from the people in my family who hunt (I don't) and talk about a racoon taking down Blue Ticks, Walkers and other hunting dogs and putting a serious beating on them or killing a few.

I had an old Racoon hunter tell me that a big old Racoon lured his hound to water and drowned him...have heard that a few times over the years. I have watched big old Toms chase off huge dogs, coyote and one cantankerous old cat even backed down a Bobcat who was down from the mountain looking for an easy meal lol.

awww poor lil racoon. look how nice it was to the cat, it didn't turn vicious and rip that cat a new azzhole like it most definitely could have. cats are such goof balls they really think they can take down anything and sadly, it often gets them seriously hurt or killed. wild animals have a certain savageness about them where they do not hold back and are seasoned to handle confrontation. little dogs and cats do not fair well against them. this cat was lucky, especially that it was alone.

Raccoons are a disgusting ass little pest just like possums and coyotes I always blast all 3 when I get the opportunity I’m just a cat guy and a lizard, fish guy when it comes to pets
