Man, I remember going crazy in grade school arguing with other kids that blood was not blue. I realized it was hopeless when one of the homeroom teachers agreed with them. A generation was lost to madness...

"You may have heard that humans use only 10 percent of their brain...although this seems a little high for some people" 😂. This guy is hilarious sometimes.

Even if urine was somehow sterile, you still shouldn't drink it. It is about 3.3% sodium, which is almost as much as the sodium in the ocean. This means that drinking your urine wouldn't help with thirst. Instead, it would make you thirstier and die of dehydration.

I remember my mom telling me that the iron in your blood and the metal iron were 2 different elements... can't imagine how confusing the table of elements must have been to her.

Your voice tone and pace in this video made this much more easier to listen to in the evening and/or at night. Loved the length and tone! Which is great because it's one of my fav channels!

Fun fact: in Germany we have a word for the tiredness after a big dinner. It's "Suppenkoma" which translates to soup coma XD

The catching a cold myth is very prevalent amongst many east/south east Asian communities. I def grew up thinking I'd magically get sick from being cold.

Thank you for including how you don't shock asystole! As a critical care nurse, I can't watch medical dramas because they are so unbelievable and defibrillating everything is one of the biggest offenses!

Yes, they are myths.
No, they are not typically lies.
Lying requires someone *intentionally* deceive you.
This is just a list of people being wrong/mistaken.

I can catch a cold from lack of sleep. Being exhausted weakens the immune system. It doesn't always happen. Maybe the season?

I always find it absolutely INSANE that it's 2022 and yet we still have these potentially civilisation ending myths floating around. Some of these myths are so old!

Technology gets better but looks like overall, humans have peaked

My grandmother told me stories of my grandfather being such an alcoholic that he would sleepwalk down the stairs to the kitchen and make himself drinks then come back to bed, never waking up.

In the winter or cold weathers, particles also stay in the air longer so it means that if a infected or sick person coughs or sneezes you could potentially catch their virus or cold, due to the particles staying longer in the air.

I've been arguing with people for years about the hair growing in thicker thing. It's maddening.
