Показать описание
The time for talking is nearly over after the contenders for Saturday’s fight night at the Leicester Arena took part in today’s final press conference.
Promoter Frank Warren and John Rawling presented the line-up for the city’s biggest pro boxing bill in the city for nearly 25 years.
Tommy Langford, Avtandil Khurtsidze, Tyrone Nurse, Joe Hughes, Zolani Tete, Arthur Villanueva, Jahmaine Smyle, Darryl Williams, Lyon Woodstock, Paul Holt and Anthony Yarde were all on the top table.
Langford and Khurtsidze clash for the interim WBO world middleweight title, while Nurse defends his British super lightweight belt against Hughes.
Tete and Villanueva clash in a final eliminator for the WBO world bantamweight crown, while hometown hero Smyle puts up his English super middleweight strap against Williams.
Woodstock, also from Leicester, goes for Midlands super featherweight honours against former champion Holt, while big-punching Yarde tackles Darren Snow over eight rounds.
Khurtsidze and Smyle’s coaches got their own vocal barbs in, too. Frank Warren presents the action on Saturday night, live on BT Sport and BoxNation.
