How to Use the TEXTJOIN Function in Excel

The TEXTJOIN function in Excel can be used to easily join cell values. This function in Excel provides a far easier method of joining multiple strings when compared to CONCATENATE.

You simply enter the delimiter, whether to ignore blank cells and then the range of values to join and Excel TEXTJOIN function does its magic.

In this video tutorial, the function is used to join the different parts of an address together.

Thanks, Alan, TEXTJOIN completes the VBA/Worksheet Functions I have written to create SentenceCase in Excel. Now all I need to do is work out how to set a user-specific dictionary in Excel for common/unique acronyms, phrases, etc., like BS EN so that they automatically switch to Upper or Proper case. :)

Instead of textjoin function for excel 2013 or lower version can u pls works with other formula like concatnate and share formula.

Hi! Amazing skill, thanx for sharing. When I apply this formula, all the character styles applied in the individual columns disappear. Is there a way to keep (for example the italic in a column) character styles and report it automatically with formula text joint?
