How to fix Blue Yeti mic bad USB tutorial

I accidentally crunched my USB port and it wouldn’t work unless I wiggled it and put it a specific way without touching or it would cut out. This was due to a cracked solder joint from the force. I bought spare ports but didn’t need it. Just a simple reflow.

Step one, remove the knobs. I used my teeth. Bad, I know. Use pliers.

Step two, remove the screws on the bottom. 2 under the sticker and one under that little rubber cover in the hole. I took the sticker off with a razor blade.

Step three, heat the solder joints till it melts and push the usb inward on the other side. Warning, the port will get hot! After reflowing and pushing the port in, add more solder for thicker joints and sturdier hold. Just on the anchors not the pins.

Step four, test it and then if all is good then put it back together.

Nice job. It's always good to know how to fix your own stuff.
