I always thought the obvious answer to "Why is a raven like a writing desk?" was "because they both have quills". I mean, it's true! xD

I don't care what anyone says. Alice has and always will be my favorite princess. She overcame so much and rescued herself. Very inspiring!

Another interesting fact is how SEVERAL characters in the book are reflections of Carrol's interpretation of the brittish society around him:
-As stated in the video, the race was a critic to politicians never going anywhere
-The White rabbit gave us the classic parody of the modern, victorian man always running for something on his schedule, a prisioner of time.
-The Chessire cat is said to be from Carrol's alucinations when his migraines were at their worst.
-The Queen of Hearts is said to be a representation of Queen Victoria, who, due to the growing parliament's power, had her own power reduced to inside her castle walls, just like the queen's power is never really seen outside a few yards away from her.
-The caterpillar seens to be a poke to the sore opium war, when England went in a pointless war against china for their opium commerce, once the caterpilar is seeing speaking slowly and in confused lines of though, like someone uder the effects of opium. The 1999 TV version probably went deeper by making the Caterpillar behave and dress like a militar commander (general, admiral, whatever)
-As mentioned in the movie, the march hare is like the saying "mad as a hare on march", same goes for the Mad Hatter, as people still say "mad as a hatter", because back on those days, hatters used a lot of mercury, and the constant inalation of fumes of mercury could induce complete insanity.
There might be a lot more I'm missing, but it requires some good studying to catch all of them :)

Poe wrote on both.

I am straight-up serious about this: Disney's Alice is not a bad primer on how to have a psychedelic trip. Again and again, Alice's ego is challenged, until she finally breaks down, and all the characters who seemed to have tormented her so much, while actually giving her valuable if thorny insights, draw around and comfort her as she returns to a normal state of perception.

Alice in wonderland is my favorite movie in all time.
When I was younger, we had to go on planes A LOT. I MEAN A LOT. If my couculations are correct, then more then 450 times!
You know how on planes you can watch movies? Whenever we go on those planes with the tv things, I watch Alice in wonderland. I've watched the animated version AND the real version. Both at least 10 times.

THE FULL STORY EXPLAINED:
Alice sings about how her wonderland is perfect and that there are talking flowers and animals that wear clothes and live in houses with people calling her majesty. Once she looks down at the lake and stops singing that's when she falls asleep and then dream begins.
Starting from the point where the rabbit says I'm late I'm late to when she wakes up at the end is all her exploring the wonderland that she sang about in the beginning. However she learns that wonderland is a miserable weird place where everyone is miserable except for the queen.
But guess what? The queen is actually suppose to be Alice except she's not blonde kind and cute. She's fat ugly and demanding.
So Alice realizes that even her herself is miserable in her dream world because she's not the queen, she's just another creature that's miserable.
The moral of the story is your perception of a happy wonder world is only a happy wonder world to you and will probably be someone else's nightmare.
So in the end Alice does wake up from the dream and continues on with her life in peace and harmony.

Queen Victoria loved the original Alice's Adventures in Wonderland so much that she asked that Lewis Carroll dedicate his next book to her. When that book came out, it had the title "An Elementary Treatise on Determinants, With Their Application to Simultaneous Linear Equations and Algebraic Equations".

Probably not what she was expecting.

I like how the counter isn't stated, it made the video flow so much better, like a long piece of information rather than 107 little bits of information.

One fact I wish someone would comment on is, during the Tea Party, when the Rabbit's watch goes "crazy", thanks to the Hatter, at the moment the watch is struck by the mallet, the film goes briefly to black & white. I've noticed this in the VHS copy and DVD copy. Love to know WHY this moment happens. If it was an error, you would think it would've been corrected, especially for the DVD release.

Alice's cat's name is actually pronounced like "die-nuh" not "dee-nuh". :)
