So there’s a lot of comments on here that give an idea of constructive criticism and I don’t need to beat a dead horse. That being said I just want to impress upon you understanding how ice gear works such as the tools. Everyone seems to just want to love looking like their latest hero be it will gadd, Aaron mulkey, etc with the whole changing the tools to different hands technique but in doing so you inevitably move your hand up the shaft of the tool and unweight it how it’s designed to hold . People need to stop moving their hands up n down their tools so much and get the mechanics of the movement first. There little reason to grab the shaft that much unless you want to increase the odds a tool pops and you fall leading. I also tend to weld my tools for screw placements since I would rather hassle with getting it unstuck than risk a tool popping mid placement due to needing to change my stance cause it wasn’t set good enough and the direction the tool is weighed changes like this. Best of luck though, it’s great that you’re getting good lead practice in on TR! Keep hitting the reps and you’ll get there for sure

No offense, just trying to give you a hint: you climbed higher on your tools than you should have. Thus you weighed them outwards and they popped out with you. Try staying underneath them at all time, makes the whole story quite a bit safer

Belayer not paying attention. You can see the loop of slack in the top rope right before the climber falls. Top rope should not result in an "8 foot fall"
