Quickly shows how to use GD&T to locate a simple clearance hole on a flat plate.

This video was created to help beginners rapidly understand GD&T and quickly use the concepts in practical applications. Technical vocabulary was purposefully NOT used in an attempt to convey these topics to those who do NOT have a background in GD&T.

I love this teaching approach. So practical! I wish many of my courses in college were taught in this way.

The YouTube-video is great. GD&T is used as a Characteristic Control for Position for Assemblies. The instructor worked with basic dimensions an did a fine job explaining how holes are located with "GD&T" ASME Y14.5 Standards.

Thank you for the explanation, coud we use this same approach to position a 4 hole pattern in the same plate? What is better, do this single line position tolerance, or a composite tolerance?

Thank you for explaining how the tolerance needs to be given . May I know why the dimension needs to be inside box
