56% of the Argentinians that voted Milei asked him 2 major things, 1 to reduce inflation and 2, to increase safety and security in the country. Within 6 months of Milei the inflation went down to 4, 2% ( mind that the previous government left the inflation in a 25, 5% ) and with Petovello working non stop to reinforce the country security. To call what is happening to argentina a surprise just shows how little you actually know about economics. The only surprise is how fast things are turning, not that it would turn well for argentina

I am on the left of the neoliberals, and I am not shocked. This is a way to get inflation down. It is just austerity. It is recessionary, and damaging to GDP and employment. I wil be watching for further lessons. Argentina has a long way to go on the matter. The inflation marker is just one data point.
