Good Samaritan Tackles Suspect Fleeing From Cops

Police bodycam captured the moment a good Samaritan helped police take down a fleeing suspect. A man was waiting to be questioned by Oklahoma police when suddenly, he made a run for it. Fortunately, a good Samaritan saw the pursuit and tackled the suspect. The police were so impressed by the hero's actions, they wanted to know his identity. The hero was later identified as Ty Clem, who exited his pickup truck to help the officers.

I’m really glad the officer’s boss didn’t make a statement about how “we appreciate the help, but we don’t encourage bystanders to get involved unless asked by an officer..” or something along the same vein. I get that it can be a liability, but I’ve always believed citizens willing to step up in situations like this should only ever receive commendation for their actions-without any of the caveats.
