He actually could beat all them. But he didnt drink, eat, shower, or sleep in a month. So he was so worn out. He had no choice but to give up, or he would have no energy to defeat all for one and shigaraki like he was planning to do, by himself.

Even in season 1 he’s pretty strong, he could’ve beaten Todoroki if he didn’t try and help, he’s obviously stronger than Mineta, and I think he can beat a few other classmates except Bakugo Kirishima and possibly Kaminari

It depends if he actually wanted to fight them. Cuz I mean in season 6 when he actually fought the class he was running away so you kinda couldn’t call it a fight. And the reason why he was running was because he didn’t want to even fight them. Cuz he cared for them.
