Jim, Frankly, my IPhone can do a more precise background removal than I am experiencing with NEO. I find myself send my photos over to my IPhone, cutting out the background, snd sending them back to my laptop for further NEO editing. I don't want to have to clean up edges - I hope we see improvement in this feature in future releases.

Looks like nice extensions to have, but at $269 for the extensions alone, too expensive. I'm using ON1 more often these days.

Excellent Jim - I just wish they would make these extensions available individually. I have already spent quite a bit on the Topaz trilogy and yearly updates so it doesn't make sense to get them again. I would purchase those extensions I don't have for sure. There are a lot of people in the same boat and I wish Luminar would perhaps see the logic in this and give us the opportunity of purchasing individuall

Hi Jim… I need help and I reached out to Skylum and I get no help. I preordered the extension pack when it first came out. My account shows that I did. All the extensions are there and say .. Run in Neo… Neo is updated… but when I click on one to install it takes me to the buy page. I can not get them to install. Help!

Not everyone is waiting for all the package it would be nice to make options to buy personalize .

Thanks. That all looks exciting. Good to see that you're not freezing in Iceland. I considered going but would have to buy a real camera (I'm still only using the phone) and I'm terrified of the cold -- not to mention that I've been on a few too many holidays recently. I'm actually having trouble in Luminar at the moment because I look at my shots and think... "that looks great and any changes I make won't improve it". I'm sure they will but I need to get into the right headspace where I can look at a photo and decide what it really needs. That's extremely difficult for me.

Thanks Jim. Neo is a good app, but .. I already own Topaz AI and ON1 Photo Raw 2023. Both have very good sharpening, denoise & resize. The only Neo extension I want is the background replacement. I don't want the rest in a compulsory bundle. Even as a bundle, it's too expensive. Cheers.

super sharp Ai is bad specialy if you zoom in upscaled a image 4x and neo wont let me export for some reason. maybe a bit more work needs doing to refine it.

Previous extensions don't work great. HDR and noise removal leave plenty to desire. I do not have high expectations this time.

nice review. I am a little afraid to use skylum plugins with respect to topaz, ON1 and of course photoshop. They need years before having a stable efficient product. same stands for luminar all versions. it is easy to detetc an object but so difficult to finalize the selection to have a realistic composite, ... without halos, fringe, unwanted elements, ...

I´ve pretty much skipped NEO regarding their way marketing NEO and adds on, I own four licenses 2 NEO, 1 Luminar, 1 HDR. I do own topaz Photo AI and with PS its all i really need

Late to the Neo game. I have Luminar AI, and understand that NEO is not replacing it. So, why would I want to purchase Neo? With Neo Pro, are the extensions free as they come out? Finally, do you have Neo tutorial vids?
